FAQ

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Everything runs locally on your Mac.

Why is it still larger than target?

Very dense scans may require more quality loss. We do a second pass if needed.

How do I activate Pro?

Buy a license and enter the key in the app.

Compression failed

Check that Poppler and Python are bundled properly, then retry.

Output overwrote my file?

The app now prompts before replacing existing output files.

Where are logs?

Find logs at ~/Library/Logs/SecureCompress.

License says invalid

Open the License tab and click Validate Now.

Can I use it offline?

Yes. Checks are periodic with offline grace.

Troubleshooting checklist

  • 2.Try grayscale mode at 200 DPI for text-heavy scans
  • 3.Ensure the output folder is writable and has free space
  • 4.If compression fails, attach the log file when emailing support
